About BSG
Birmingham Solicitors’ Group (BSG) is a vibrant social and professional network for junior legal professionals from any legal discipline in Birmingham and the West Midlands. Whether you’re a student, trainee, pupil, solicitor, barrister, legal administrative professional, or beyond, we’d love for you to get involved! There’s no formal membership process or fees—simply attend our events and engage with our friendly community.
BSG is run by a yearly elected committee of junior legal professionals, and aims to foster connections in the legal (and wider professional) community, provide educational opportunities and career guidance, and make a positive impact on the legal community and the West Midlands.
Throughout the year, we host a diverse range of events and provide opportunities such as:

- speaker panel events
- breakfast networking events
- mental health events
- drinks events
- educational and careers events
- opportunities to contribute to our ‘BSG Bites’ series of articles, sharing insights among the legal community.
BSG also actively collaborates with and fundraises for local charities, collaborates with local legal and wider professional organisations, and has strong ties with major law firms, Birmingham universities, and the Birmingham Law Society.
Our current membership spans various experience levels—most are under 10PQE, but all are welcome!
